YERONGA STATE HIGH SCHOOL Past Students and Staff Register In 1960, Yeronga State High School opened with 200 students and staff. Since then, more than 18,000 students and staff have passed through the classrooms and corridors of the school. Along with current students and staff, the Yeronga State High School Parents’ & Citizens’ Association is keen to develop a Past Students and Staff Register. The goal is to generate and maintain a data base of past students and staff, as well as organise and host the 50th anniversary celebrations in 2010. This data base may also be used to distribute an occasional Past Student and Staff newsletter, and as a research instrument for anyone interested in compiling a history of the school. We envisage the newsletter will keep you informed about what’s happening at the school, contain invitations to school activities such as Art Shows and Music Festivals, and past student and staff “Blast from the Past” events. Our objectives are to promote and foster the interests of Yeronga State High School by: Strengthening the heritage and tradition of the school by providing opportunities for past students and staff to remain connected to the school and to their fellow students and teacher Recording its history through memories, events and anecdotes Enhancing its reputation through highlighting the achievement of students and staff Preserving the interest of Yeronga State High School by awarding scholarships and prizes to students of the School, sport, social activities and other appropriate means Making gifts of money and providing other forms of support to the School Promoting and organising education, cultural, social and sporting functions to raise funds for Yeronga State High School
Yeronga State High School values its extended family Get involved! Stay involved! ÆMichelle Mills Past Students & Staff Register OfficerYeronga State High School
