The school’s library contains a wide range of resources and materials which are available to students and teachers of Yeronga State High School.

The aims of the library service are:

o        To maximise the educational outcomes for all students by supporting their teaching and learning.
o        To encourage reading for pleasure.

LIBRARY HOURS (during school terms)

Monday - Thursday 8.15am - 3.30pm; Friday - 8.15am - 3.00pm

 ~~~~~~~~~~~
The Brisbane City Council now has two excellent services available online:-
  • Answers Now where a librarian waits in the chat room to answer your research questions. This would be very useful for homework queries for students. The librarian gives urls and sends an email transcript of the transaction. The user has to provide name and email address but does not have to be a BCC library user.
  • YourTutor - YourTutor connects students with expert tutors for live, one-to-one tutoring. The user does have to be a member of BCC Libraries as a login is required.
Go to www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/BCC:BASE:1790285612:pc=PC_1236 to check it out.
All students are encouraged to become BCC library members.
The State Library also has a reference service called Ask a Librarian, it is at: http://www.slq.qld.gov.au/
If you have any questions please ask the school's librarian.
